Lucía Cozzi (she/they) is an artist, organizer, and creative researcher from Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, based in Brooklyn, New York.
Their work examines the abstract value of objects, and affective knowledge, exposing the intimate process of memory. In 2022 she received the Engaged Artists Fellowship from More Art in New York. Her recent exhibitions include Collective Care Networks in Recess and Together We Can... Gowanus Art, a public exhibition celebrating Brooklyn queer artists. Since 2019 they have been part of the collective that organizes Mil Mundos Books, where she programs at the intersection of art, digital equity, and mutual care. Past residences include Tribu de Trueno in Bariloche, Argentina, and R.A.R.O micro-residency in Tigre, Argentina. Professionally she has a creative research practice. Together with María Bonomi, she is the co-creator of Doble Espiral, an artist project where they investigate contact towards mutual affect, through self-publishing, and public collective works. Lucia holds a Bfa from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) (2016) where she graduated with honors. Their poem 'Prediction' was published by SFPC (School for Poetic Computation) in Dark Matters in 2022 and her work 'Spiral of Mutual Encounters' was published in HEADS Magazine lucia.cozzi1@gmail.com.
Lucía Cozzi (ella/elle) es artista, realizadora, e investigadora creativa de Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina con base en Brooklyn, Nueva York.
Su trabajo indaga sobre el valor abstracto de los objetos, y el saber afectivo, exponiendo el proceso íntimo del recuerdo. En 2022 recibió la beca de Artistas Comprometidos de More Art en Nueva York. Sus muestras recientes incluyen Redes de cuidado colectivo en Recess y Juntes podremos… Gowanus Art, una muestra pública celebrando artistas cuir de Brooklyn. Desde el 2019 es parte del colectivo que organiza la librería Mil Mundos Books, donde programa en torno al arte, la equidad digital, y el cuidado mutuo. Sus residencias pasadas incluyen Tribu de Trueno en Bariloche, Argentina, y R.A.R.O micro-residencia en Tigre, Argentina. Profesionalmente se desarrolla como investigadora creativa.
